Batman of Two Worlds is a new one-shot set for release worldwide as part of the DC’s annual Batman Day celebration. The special issue, which hits stores on Saturday, September 19th, will feature a set of new, parallel stories starring both the mainline caped crusader and his Absolute counterpart.
Batman of Two Worlds #1 will feature a mainline DCU story from Batman writer Matt Fraction, former Batman & Robin artist Javi Fernández, colorist Tomeu Morey, and letterer Clayton Cowles. The Absolute Batman story will be by series writer Scott Snyder, Batman Universe artist Nick Derington, colorist Frank Martin, and letterer Tom Napolitano. In a post on social media about the one-shot, Snyder said the issue featuries “Two stories, one crime.
“You have two different looks at Batman, said Matt Fraction. “The moral structures, the ethical structures, the political structures. A chance to put them side by side and see the similarities and differences.
“This is just such a unique moment, added Scott Snyder. “The mission was to show what’s special about each interpretation. The two stories are both about Batman’s form of justice.
